APPLET VIEWER HTML CODE
As stated in my first post with the "package applet " line removed from my code and the html looking to "test" only it works fine I get an applet window with the word Hello in it. For everything I try an applet window opens but the word Hello doesn't appear. The AppletViewer is a JDK component and an Oracle-supported product that client machines use to view applications running on the Forms Server. The java.applet package provides classes such as Applet class and AppletContext class. I used all sorts of combinations running appletviewer from C:\, C:\applet, C:\temp5, C:\temp5\applet. This appendix describes the AppletViewer, an alternative to using Oracle JInitiator. Java applet tutorial with example and running it by html file and appletviewer tool. AppletViewer ignores any HTML that is not immediately relevant to. I also created a directory C:\temp5\applet and copied test.* over there as well. The applet viewer makes it possible to run a Java applet without using a browser. I run "appletviewer test.html" directly from c:\temp5. I created a directory off of the root and called it C:\temp5.
